Let’s say you want to ssh from 172.19.1.10 to 172.19.1.20 without password with user called “james”, this is what you should do.
Login to user “james” at 172.19.1.10 and type the following command!
ssh-keygen -q -t dsa -N ‘ ‘ -f ~/.ssh/id_dsa
The above command will create two files, id_dsa and id_dsa.pub in the .ssh directory of the user. Now copy the content from ~/.ssh/id_dsa.pub file.
Now login to user “james” at 172.19.1.20 and create a file “~/.ssh/authorized_keys”. Paste the content you copied previously to the authorized_keys file and save.
Now login to 172.19.1.10 as “james” user and ssh to firstname.lastname@example.org password less!
