I installed eclipse on my Linux debian server recently, to work with php. I started eclipse and fortunately, I saw it working right away. But after some time, eclipse started to collapse. The debug error talked about “Out of Memory” stuff. I had no clue what went wrong.
So, here is exact error I saw before the crash, “GC Warning: Out of Memory! Returning NIL!”
So, I started investigating the problem and found it was because of /usr/bin/java file. My default java was not linked to sun java. So, I had to manually link it to default java to fix the memory issue.
So, that was yet another real life problem for you folks. Do leave your comments if this post helped you. It really means a lot to me.
